What to Expect

Our genetic counseling services provide essential information and support for individuals and families dealing with genetic conditions or who may have a higher chance for a genetic condition. During a 60-90 minute telehealth session, our genetic counselor will assess your chances by collecting family and medical histories and discussing the possibility of genetic testing if appropriate. We provide detailed information about specific genetic conditions, explain basic genetic concepts, and discuss available testing options.

Our counselor offers emotional support, assists with decision-making, and can connect you with additional resources as needed. Depending on the genetic testing results, if any are ordered, an additional consultation may be necessary to fully interpret the results and plan for future management or prevention strategies. There is discounted cost a results consultation. Our goal is to ensure you understand your genetic health and feel supported in making informed decisions about your care.

When scheduling, you’ll select your state and share briefly what we will be meeting about. Then you will be sent a link to join our HIPAA compliant telehealth service. We will send you some intake forms to gather more information to prepare ahead of time.

We offer self-pay services at a flat rate. You will NOT be charged until after the appointment:

• $149.00 (plus a processing fees): This applies to all traditional indications (connective tissue disorders, prenatal, cancer, pediatrics, neurological, etc.) and includes the initial consultation and coordinating any agreed upon genetic testing. If you would like a follow-up appointment after results of testing, we charge a reduce rate of $99.
  • Note: Any genetic testing that is ordered will be processed through your insurance.
  • If you’re interested us reviewing your direct to consumer (DTC) testing results, the consultation fee is higher ($189) due to the time consuming nature and complexity of reviewing these complicated results. In addition, we MUST receive access to the results at least two weeks in advance. You will be charged 50% of the cost up front and the remaining 50% after the consultation.

We do not accept insurance at this time. However, we can provide a superbill after your appointment that you may submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. If you qualify for Medicaid, you may be eligible for a small discount.

Please verify that you’re in one of the following states at the time of service. If you are NOT in one of the states below, we cannot provide services at this time to do licensing limitations. However, you can still reach out and we can help you find service in your state.
